Christian Adventurer's Guild.
The Disciple's war!
Why do I use the title "Christian Adventurer's Guild"? It is because life for a real Christian IS AN ADVENTURE! People spend all kinds of money trying to get "adventure" into their lives. They join clubs, travel, buy equipment, read books, go to movies, take drugs, play video games, etc., in order to add "adventure" to their lives. All the while not knowing, or simply ignoring, the fact that the life God designed for His disciples IS an adventure starting with this life on earth. It is filled with all the characteristics of adventures. I use the term "Guild" to refer to the Church. All Christians are part of God's Church. We are the Church. God's Church is not the buildings we meet in. So to join the Christian Adventurer's Guild one simply has to decide to be a real Christian. And the good news is that a real Christian cannot fail to eventually win the Spiritual WAR that is this earthly life and "finish the race" as God puts it! This is because even though God our Creator requires what I have described in detail in the previous pages of this web site, that we sincerely choose to believe in Jesus Christ and therefore take what God says in the Bible as God's message to us, resulting in our repenting of our sins and our striving to do what God tells us in the Bible, He also understands our weaknesses and He therefore supplies all that we need as we sincerely choose to believe in Him. And as you know as a Christian He also provided His own death on a cross to take the our punishment for our failures - so that our failures can be forgiven as long as we sincerely repent of them and believe in Him - remember repenting of our sins means admitting them and committing ourselves not to do them anymore and do what God wants instead.
Our God is perfect! He does not compromise His requirement of the highest standards. Yet at the same time He works tirelessly and diligently to convince us to repent and be forgiven having made Himself the sacrifice for that forgiveness, and then covers us with His perfection so that He sees us as already perfect even though we aren't!
All real Christians are "adventurers" because they are God's soldiers in the spiritual war between God and Satan.
Mature Christian soldiers are not "happy-go-lucky", or "devil-may-care", "just-do-it", "do-you-want-to-live-forever?", macho, tough, people with "attitudes", full of self-confidence. All of those types refer to people with attitudes of getting by or winning a battle without doing it God's way. Such people are not taking God and the Bible seriously and are not doing things God's way. Such people are much too weak to survive the spiritual WAR against Satan. They will die both physically and spiritually.
Christian soldiers are in truth people who have humbly accepted and admitted that they are inadequate. They become fully surrendered to God to be broken, disciplined, trained, empowered, and led by Him. They are humble, obedient soldiers who have chosen Jesus Christ as their Commander.
Everyone on earth is born into and lives in this one great spiritual war. The question is whether one will harden their heart against believing in and believing God, and therefore be defeated and spend eternity suffering in Hell; or whether they will become Christian soldiers and win and therefore end up spending eternity living a perfect life forever being God's friend and family as well as His subject in His Kingdom, Heaven - the way God has intended it to be from the beginning!
And as I said before, real Christians will win because of what God has done, and does!

God gives everyone the power to choose whether to seek and believe Him, or to harden one's heart against God and reject Him. All you have to do to seek Him is resist the natural urge to reject Him and choose instead to open your mind and let Him do His work to convince you. When you are convinced repent of not believing in Christ Jesus and therefore not do what He says, and instead choose to believe in Him and therefore try your best to do what He says. Admit to Him that you need Him to change you and train you to overcome not doing things His way, and ask Him to do so. Then continue to Pray to Him as much as you can. You can talk to Him about anything! Read His Word the Bible as much as you can. Become a real Christian and God will make you grow, and send you on the adventures He meant for you!
